The speed of recovery depends on the technique used.

  • Lasik: on the day of the operation, patients will leave the clinic with their eyes uncovered and with slightly blurred vision. They can move normally and so do not need to be accompanied, but they should not drive. The day after the operation, they can go back to their regular routine and your workplace: reading, watching TV, driving, and use the computer. They must be careful not to rub their eyes during the first week.
  • Presbyopia with corneal excimer laser (presbilasik): Near vision recovers immediately and distance vision improves progressively.
  • Epilasek: Recovery is slower. The first few days will be uncomfortable. After 5 or 6 days the vision is usually sufficient for leading a normal life. After two to three weeks, the visual results will be excellent.
