Lasik surgery is the result of some intense research and development. At Visiondiez, recent technological advances are subject to rigorous security checks before being incorporated into our eye clinics’ procedures.
We follow a strict protocol which includes a system of continuous laser calibration, air purification using absolute filters, ultrafiltration washing solutions and the use of special clothes that do not emit particles.
Before Lasik surgery:
Prior to Lasik surgery, we carry out a thorough eye examination, assessing the needs of your particular case, and inform you of the various treatment alternatives.
Some time beforehand, you stop using your contact lenses: a week if they are soft and two weeks if they are semi-hard.
Lasik Surgery:
The day of the operation, you will dress in comfortable clothes and come to the clinic with your face washed with no fragrance or facial cream.
Lasik surgery is completely painless and only lasts a few minutes. The eye is anaesthetised with eye drops without injections. We use a high-tech 400 Hz WaveLight Allegretto Eye-Q Excimer Laser equipped with an automatic tracking system (Active EyeTracker) which acts with complete accuracy on the patient’s eye even if it moves during the operation. The most advanced technology ensures the best results.
After Lasik surgery:
- After the Lasik surgery, you will leave the clinic with your eyes uncovered and slightly blurred vision. You can move around perfectly but you should not drive.
- You will be able to crouch down, carry weights and do physical activity immediately.
- The next day, you may shower, read, watch TV, drive, work and use the computer. Being careful not to rub your eyes. Forcing your vision will not affect the outcome of the surgery.
- After 48 hours, you can do sports, swim in the sea or swimming pool and use make-up again.
Lasik surgery does not complicate any other eye surgery in the future.
